A.M. Wood Postgraduate Scholarship for Schizophrenia Research

The Schizophrenia Research Institute is a non-profit, independent research institute, with the vision of finding ways to prevent and cure schizophrenia.

The Institute is pleased to announce details and invite applications from research students for the award of the A.M. Wood Postgraduate Scholarship for Schizophrenia Research.

Schizophrenia Research Institute Scholarship – Conditions and Criteria

Scholarship(s) in schizophrenia research must be:

  • undertaken at a currently funded Institute research centre in NSW, Queensland, Victoria or Western Australia, or
  • supervised by a current Institute employee or Affiliated Scientist

Applications will be evaluated against the following criteria:
–           Scientific excellence of the proposed research
–           Relevance of the proposed project to schizophrenia research
–           Track record / academic record of the student
–           Degree to which the project adheres to the Institute’s vision and strategic plan
–           To what extent does the proposal utilise the Australian Schizophrenia Research Bank

  • Preference may be given to applicants who have obtained other competitive scholarships
  • Preference will be given to students of Indigenous or Torres Strait Island descent

Current or past Institute postgraduate scholarship awardees are not eligible to apply.
